About Permanent Metal Roofing Systems
A Dallas-Area Metal Roofing Company Built on In-House Fabrication
Permanent Metal Roofing Systems is a metal roofing company serving Dallas and the wider Metroplex that makes the roof system it installs. We roll-form our own panels, bend our own trim and flashing, and our crews put it all on the roof.
- 20+ years of experience
- Lifetime limited warranty
- Free written estimates
Who Is Permanent Metal Roofing Systems?
We are a metal roof manufacturer and installer. Many roofing contractors buy panels from a supply house and send the sheet metal out to another shop. PMRS forms its own panels and bends its own trim, so one company answers for the whole system.
Our team brings 20+ years of combined experience forming and installing metal roofs. That experience covers houses of every size, apartment buildings and commercial projects, and it shapes what we offer today:
- Residential and commercial metal roof installation
- Fabrication of panels, trim, flashing, coping, chimney caps and custom parts
- Estimating and take-offs from plans or field measurements
- Shop drawings and project engineering, with site-specific engineering on request
- Gutters, including stainless Yankee gutters and custom box gutters
- Materials supply for roofing contractors and builders

Where Did PMRS Get Its Start?
PMRS began in New Jersey and built its business fabricating and installing metal roofing across the Northeast. The company grew by doing both halves of the job, making the parts and putting them on the building.
That work reached well beyond houses. The kinds of commercial buildings we worked on included hotels, schools, shopping malls, hospitals, airports and military bases. Commercial jobs like those call for shop drawings, engineering and weather-tightness warranties, and all three became part of what we offer.
The product line grew the same way. Today it runs from snap lock and mechanical lock standing seam to copper and zinc panels, flat lock and diamond panels for turrets and mansards, and Tedlar film finishes. Two past PMRS jobs show the range:
- A low-slope residence roofed in 1.5-inch mechanical lock, double-locked for uplift. About 10,000 square feet of .032 aluminum in three PVDF colors covered roofs, walls and soffits, including roof panels 100 feet long.
- A steep-slope retail building in 1.5-inch snap lock, formed from .032 aluminum with a matte black Tedlar finish and finished with custom box gutters.
Why Is PMRS in Mesquite, Texas?
Dallas-Fort Worth needs exactly what metal roofing does best. Texas has led the nation in major hail events for 11 straight years, and DFW summers average about 20 days at 100 F or hotter. Asphalt shingles struggle under both, while a well-built metal roof typically lasts 40 to 70 years here.
Our Dallas-Fort Worth office at 3100 Manchester Dr in Mesquite puts our estimators and crews in east Dallas County. From there, Garland, Rowlett, Forney, Rockwall and Dallas are a short drive, and the northern suburbs are within easy reach. Learn more on the Mesquite office page or browse our service areas.
How Does PMRS Build a Roof?
We control each step, from the first measurement to the last piece of trim. Small jobs and large ones follow the same five stages.
- Consultation. We meet you, inspect the existing roof and learn what the building needs.
- Measurement. We work from your plans, or we measure the structure by hand to get exact quantities.
- Quotation. You receive a written quote for the entire system, with the warranties attached.
- Fabrication. We roll-form the panels, bend the trim on computerized equipment and deliver the system to the site.
- Installation. Our crews install to the manufacturer’s recommendations and standard practice.

Forming to the length of each run means fewer laps and joints on the roof. Bending trim by machine means every hem and angle repeats, which helps a roof resist the crazing, cracking and oil canning that come from forcing parts to fit. See the details in our process and the installation process.
What Does PMRS Stand For?
