Monthly offer
Hometown Heroes Metal Roof Discount for Those Who Serve
Once a year, around Veterans Day, Permanent Metal Roofing Systems doubles its thank-you to service members, veterans and first responders: $1,000 off an installed metal roof on your home.
- 20+ years of experience
- Lifetime limited warranty
- Free written estimates
How Much Does Hometown Heroes Month Save?
It saves $1,000 on an installed roof for your home. That is twice the $500 our everyday military and first responder discount takes off the rest of the year.
A quick example shows the difference. On a house with 2,000 sq ft of roof, the written estimate carries a $500 thank-you line under the itemized roof for most of the year. While Hometown Heroes Month runs, the same line reads $1,000.
| Everyday discount | Hometown Heroes Month | |
|---|---|---|
| Amount | $500 off | $1,000 off |
| When | All year | Once a year, while the status above shows it running |
| Who | Same groups | Same groups |
| Proof | Same documents | Same documents |
| Combines with other offers | No | No; it replaces the $500 while it runs |
Who Qualifies for the $1,000 Discount?
You qualify if you serve or served in one of these groups, the home is owner-occupied, and the roof measures 1,000 sq ft or more.
- Veterans of any branch
- Active-duty service members
- National Guard and Reserve members
- Law enforcement officers
- Firefighters
- EMS crews, including EMTs and paramedics
For proof, bring one document: a DD-214, a military or VA ID, or a department ID. Have it ready by the time you sign.
How do you claim it?
- Request a free estimate through the form or by phone while the status line shows the offer live.
- Tell us you are claiming Hometown Heroes Month and which group you belong to.
- Look for the $1,000 line on your written proposal, listed apart from the roof price.
- Show your proof and sign during the offer window. Your signed price holds after it ends.
Why Does a Metal Roof Suit a Service Household in DFW?
A metal roof asks for very little once it is on. That matters in homes where long shifts, call-outs and deployments leave little time for upkeep.

In Texas heat, asphalt shingles typically wear out somewhere between year 15 and year 20. A metal roof installed by professionals commonly lasts 40 to 70 years. For many families, that means one roof for as long as they own the house.
Hail is the bigger local threat. Industry studies put hail claims about 40 percent lower for homes with impact-resistant roofs. Our Class 4 metal roofing page explains the UL 2218 test.
Firefighters already know the next point. Metal does not burn, and a Class A fire rating, the top class, is common for metal roof assemblies. Our standing seam roofs use concealed clips, so no exposed screws sit in the weather.
We form the panels and bend the trim in-house, and the same company installs them. One team answers for the whole roof, backed on standing seam by our lifetime non-prorated limited warranty. Our metal roof cost page explains what moves the cost of a roof, so you know what the estimate will itemize.
Terms that apply to every Permanent Metal Roofing Systems offer
- Offers are for new projects inside our Dallas-Fort Worth service area. A monthly offer applies to proposals signed by the last day of the month it runs.
- Every discount comes off the price on your written estimate and is shown on your proposal as its own line before you sign.
- One offer per project unless that offer says it can be combined. Offers have no cash value and do not apply to signed contracts, deposits already paid or finished work.
- On an insurance claim, a discount lowers the contract price we report to your insurance company. It is never applied to your deductible: Texas law (HB 2102, 2019) requires homeowners to pay their own deductible, and Permanent Metal Roofing Systems does not pay, waive or rebate any part of it.
- We can end or change an offer at any time. A proposal you have already signed keeps its price.

Hometown Heroes Month FAQ
Is Hometown Heroes Month the same as the everyday military discount?
It covers the same groups and asks for the same proof, but the amount doubles to $1,000. While it runs, it replaces the everyday $500 discount, so you get one or the other, never both. The rest of the year, see our military and first responder discount.
What proof do I need to show?
One document is enough: a DD-214, a military or VA ID, or a department ID for law enforcement, fire or EMS. Have it ready by the time you sign the proposal.
Can I add the senior discount or another offer?
No. Hometown Heroes Month does not combine with other PMRS offers, including the senior homeowner discount. If you qualify for both, the $1,000 Hometown Heroes line is the larger of the two.
Does a rental house or a small roof qualify?
No. The roof must be on an owner-occupied home and measure 1,000 sq ft or more. Rental properties and roofs under 1,000 sq ft fall outside this offer.
