What Can Contractors Buy From PMRS?

Everything that goes on a metal roof except the labor: panels, trim, flashing, coping, gutters and the accessories under them. You can order one part of the system or all of it.

  • Standing seam panels in snap lock (1, 1.5 and 1.75 inch) and mechanical lock (1, 1.5 and 2 inch) profiles, roll-formed to the length of each run. Exposed-fastener panels: 7.2 rib, PBR, RPBR and corrugated profiles for shops, barns, barndominiums and wall cladding. See the corrugated and PBR panel page. Trim and flashing bent to your girths and angles: eave, rake, valley, hip and ridge caps, Z-closures, wall flashing, reglets, coping and gravel stop. Accessories: fixed and floating clips, pancake-head fasteners, high-temperature underlayment, Geocel 2300, butyl tape, color-matched sealant and pipe boots from the accessories line. Gutters: box gutters, stainless Yankee gutters and K-style or half-round runs, with hangers, outlets and downspouts. See metal gutters. Specialty panels: flat lock and diamond panels for turrets, bays and walls, and custom chimney caps, shrouds and chase covers.

The same shop forms every job our own crews install, so a contractor order gets the same gauges, finishes and tolerances. The difference is only who puts it on the roof.

Trim bent to your girths

How Does PMRS Make Trim for Another Contractor’s Roof?

Send the profile, girth, angle, color and quantity, or a sketch with dimensions. We bend each piece on computerized folders and cut it on pneumatic shears, in the same coil and finish as the panels, so the color matches across the roof.

A hip cap for a 6/12 roof needs a different angle than one for a 10/12 roof. The folder bends each to its exact angle and repeats it piece after piece, which is what keeps trim from being forced to fit on the roof.

Every part leaves the shop tagged with its roof area, so your crew installs from the tags instead of sorting a pile. Read more about the shop on our fabrication and services page and the custom metal flashing page.

How Does a Materials Order Work?

Six steps from take-off to delivery. Builders and roofing contractors usually start at step one with plans or measurements in hand.

  1. Send the take-off or the plans. Email HelpDesk@PermanentMetalRoofingSystems.com, use the contact form or call (469) 466-2421. No take-off yet? Our estimators scale the roof from your drawings or measure the building and list every panel, trim piece, clip and fastener.
  2. Get a written quote. It names the profile, gauge, metal, finish, quantities, accessories and delivery, so you can compare it line by line with any other bid.
  3. Pick colors and confirm details. Choose from the color chart and send any special trim profiles. Shop drawings and submittals are available when an architect or engineer has to approve the roof first.
  4. Fabrication. Panels are roll-formed to each run length and trim is bent to your angles. The take-off becomes the cut list, so the quote and the materials match.
  5. Delivery. Van delivery is $350 per trip and box-truck delivery is $500 per trip, anywhere in Dallas-Fort Worth. Parts arrive labeled by area.
  6. Paperwork. You get the spec sheets and finish warranty information for what you bought. Ask when you order if your project also needs weather-tightness warranty paperwork or engineering.

Materials pricing

What Does Materials-Only Standing Seam Cost in DFW?

Materials only, 24-gauge Galvalume standing seam with a Kynar 500 finish currently runs about $9 per square foot of roof, and 26-gauge about $8. Those figures cover panels, trim, clips and fasteners for a typical roof; underlayment, sealants, pipe boots and delivery are quoted on top.

Prices were last set in October 2026 and move with coil costs, so the written quote is the number that counts. For installed pricing, or to run a quick estimate, see the metal roof cost page.

Why buy from the manufacturer

Why Buy Metal Roofing From the Manufacturer Instead of a Supply House?

  • Cut to length. Panels are formed to each run, so long slopes go on in one piece with no end laps to seal. One coil, one color. Panels, trim, coping and gutters come out of the same coil and finish, so nothing on the roof is a near match. The parts we install ourselves. The clips, fasteners, underlayment and sealants in a contractor order are the ones specified on our own standing seam jobs. Drawings and engineering. Spec sheets, submittals, shop drawings and site-specific engineering on request, from the people who formed the panel. Answers from the shop. Questions about clip spacing, seam sealant, slope limits or a flashing detail go to the fabricator, not a counter. Commercial paperwork. On mechanically seamed systems seamed to spec, weather-tightness warranty paperwork is available; see commercial metal roofing.

Who Orders Metal Roofing Materials From PMRS?

Anyone with their own crew and a metal roof to build. These are the orders we see most.

  • Roofing contractors re-roofing homes after hail, who want impact-rated panels, matching trim and the accessories in one delivery.
  • Builders and general contractors on custom homes and commercial projects who need take-offs, submittals and panels that arrive labeled for each roof area.
  • Metal building and barndominium builders ordering PBR, 7.2 rib or 2-inch mechanical lock panels, with engineering for open framing on request.
  • Remodelers adding a standing seam porch, awning or accent roof who need a short run of panels and the trim to finish it.
  • Property managers and commercial owners with in-house crews, ordering coping, gravel stop, box gutters and replacement panels.

Architects and engineers can request product data and details for a spec without an order; see shop drawings and engineering.

What DFW Conditions Change a Materials Order?

Four things we raise on almost every contractor quote, because North Texas tests each hidden part of a roof every year.

  • Hail and gauge. Texas has led the nation in major hail events for 11 straight years. 24-gauge steel is about 28 percent thicker than 26-gauge and dents less; see our gauge comparison.
  • Heat and underlayment. Metal panels run far hotter than the air, and ordinary membranes can soften and stick. Our mechanical lock spec sheets call for high-temperature underlayment at 3/12 and below.
  • Wind and clips. May 2024 brought gusts near 80 mph across the metro. Clip spacing at edges and corners decides whether panels stay down, and site-specific engineering is available on request.
  • Finish and sun. Kynar 500 PVDF holds color far longer than SMP under Texas UV, and Tedlar PVF film carries finish warranties of up to 50 years through Metal Alliance.

Contractor Supply Questions

How do I get a materials quote from PMRS?

Send a take-off, plans or a list of panels and trim to HelpDesk@PermanentMetalRoofingSystems.com, use the form on this page, or call (469) 466-2421. If you only have the address, our estimators can measure the roof and build the take-off for you. The quote names the profile, gauge, finish, quantities and delivery.

Do you deliver metal roofing materials in Dallas-Fort Worth?

Yes. Delivery is priced per trip: $350 by van for trim and accessory orders and $500 by box truck for panel orders. Long panels travel on the truck in the order your crew will hang them.

Can you cut standing seam panels to my lengths?

Yes. Panels are roll-formed on our own equipment and cut to the length of each roof run from your take-off, so most slopes go on as one piece from eave to ridge with no end laps. Tell us the run lengths and the eave and ridge details and we form to them.

Can you bend trim to my own profiles and colors?

Yes. Send the profile, girth, angle, color and quantity, or a sketch, and we bend it on computerized folders in the same coil as the panels. Every piece is labeled with its roof area so your crew can install from the tags.

Can I buy only trim or only accessories?

Yes. An order can be as small as a trim package for a re-roof or a case of pipe boots and clips, or as complete as a full standing seam system. Clips, pancake fasteners, high-temperature underlayment, sealants and butyl tape are on the accessories page.

What warranty comes with a materials-only order?

Finish warranties come from the coil coater: 30 years on Kynar 500 solid colors, up to 50 years on Tedlar PVF film. Ask what other paperwork applies to your order when you request the quote. The warranties page explains each layer of coverage on a metal roof.

Can you help with shop drawings or engineering for a job I am installing?

Yes. We prepare shop drawings and submittals for architect and engineer review, and site-specific engineering is available on request for uplift, spans and other panel sizes or substrates. Spec sheets for every standing seam profile are on the downloads page.
